Located in Yamanakako, Yamanashi Prefecture, Lake Yamanaka is the largest and highest of the Fuji Five Lakes, sitting at about 980 meters above sea level. It offers some of the closest views of Mount Fuji, and in winter it is famous for the Diamond Fuji, when the sun sets exactly on the mountain's summit.
