Located in Nara, Nara Prefecture, the Daibutsu-den is the Great Buddha Hall of Tōdai-ji temple, founded in the 8th century and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It houses a 15-meter bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana, and although rebuilt smaller in 1709, the hall is still one of the largest wooden buildings in the world.
