Oshinkoshin Falls
オシンコシンの滝
Waterfalls & Gorges · Hokkaido
Located in Shari, Hokkaido, along National Route 334 on the way to the Shiretoko Peninsula, Oshinkoshin Falls is ranked among Japan's 100 best waterfalls. Nicknamed the Twin Beauties Waterfall because its stream splits into two distinct cascades partway down a rugged 80-meter cliff, its Ainu name means where Sakhalin spruce grow in clusters. A stairway climbs partway up the falls for a close view of the rushing water, with the Sea of Okhotsk visible from the top.
