Located in Tarui, Gifu Prefecture, Nangu Taisha is a distinguished Grand Shinto Shrine historically regarded as the chief sanctuary of ancient Mino Province and dedicated to the deity of mining and metalworking. Rebuilt during the early Edo period under the patronage of the Tokugawa shogunate, the shrine complex is renowned for its vibrant vermilion structures, classic Momoyama-style architectural details, and rich collection of sacred swords.
