Located in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka Prefecture, Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha is the head shrine for over 1,300 Sengen shrines across Japan, historically dedicated to worshiping Mount Fuji and protecting against volcanic eruptions. Part of the Mount Fuji UNESCO World Heritage Site, it features distinctive two-story shrine architecture, cherry blossom-lined grounds, and a crystal-clear sacred pond fed by snowmelt from the mountain.
