Located in Kochi, Kochi Prefecture, Tosa Shrine is the historic Ichinomiya (principal Shinto shrine) of former Tosa Province, celebrated for its ancient origins and deep connection to the regional samurai heritage. Rebuilt in 1570 by the warlord Chosokabe Motochika, the sanctuary features a unique "蜻蛉造" (tonbo-zukuri or dragonfly-style) architecture designated as an Important Cultural Property, nestled within a tranquil forest of ancient trees.
