Located in Nagato, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Motonosumi Shrine is a striking seaside sanctuary famous for its winding pathway of 123 vibrant red torii gates that frame dramatic views of the Sea of Japan. Established in 1955 following a divine revelation from a white fox spirit, the shrine is revered for granting success in business, maritime safety, and matchmaking, and is unique for its offering box mounted high atop the outermost entrance torii gate.
