Located on Ibuki Island in Kan'onji, Kagawa Prefecture, Ibuki no Ki (the Tree of Ibuki) is an artwork by Takashi Kuribayashi, created for the Setouchi Triennale and on display since 2019. The 7-metre tree lies on its side and its hollow trunk is lined with around 500 mirrors: look inside and it becomes a giant kaleidoscope reflecting the sky and the island. It stands on the site of the island's former debeya, where women once stayed around childbirth, and it symbolises a mother's womb.
