Located in Tottori, Tottori Prefecture, the Tottori Sand Dunes stretch for about 16 kilometers along the Sea of Japan and are the largest dunes open to the public in Japan. Visitors can climb the 47-meter Horse's Back ridge for a view of the sea, try camel rides or sandboarding, and see the nearby Sand Museum's giant sand sculptures.
