Lake Kinrin
金鱗湖
Lakes & Ponds · Oita
Located in the hot spring town of Yufuin, Oita Prefecture, Lake Kinrin is a small pond fed by both cold springs and hot springs. On cold autumn and winter mornings, the warm water creates a magical morning mist over the surface, and its name, golden scales, comes from fish whose scales once shone gold in the setting sun.
